SONORA – Sophomore Arelis Chavez-Hernandez had a match-high 12 kills while sophomore Lexie Canales totaled 16 digs and 7 kills to help lead West Hills College Coalinga to a 3-0 sweep at Columbia College on Friday.

The 25-9, 26-24, 25-20 Central Valley Conference victory was the Falcons' first in three tries and improved West Hills to 2-4 overall.

Alexia Vancil paced the Falcons' offense with 21 assists and Ally Beck had 12 digs. Sarah Toles contributed 6 kills while Sariya Harris added 9 digs and 3 aces.

West Hills returns to action on Wednesday (Sep. 28) when the Falcons host Merced College in a 6 p.m. Central Valley Conference match.
