LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) today announced its 2023 Board of Directors. Voted to serve on the eight-member board to represent California community colleges is West Hills College Coalinga softball head coach Gabrielle Brixey.

Brixey will begin her three-year term on January 1, 2023.

"I'm super excited to represent the California JC softball association on the board of the NFCA," said Brixey. "I've worked on committees before and I'm ready to grow my knowledge of the sport and be the middle man for our association."

Brixey says she will be participating in meetings with all board members monthly to make sure the appropriate information is being distributed across the front. She'll also make sure the rules, expectation, and standards are met between the organization.

"I'm excited to step into this role and learn from so many board members," she added.

Brixey returns to her alma mater as the new West Hills Coalinga head coach for the 2023 season. She spent the previous five seasons at the helm of Taft College. Recently inducted into West Hills' Hall of Fame (2021), Brixey began her coaching career as an assistant coach for the Falcons.
