The West Hills College rodeo team is heading to San Luis Obispo to compete in Cal Poly SLO's, "Poly Royal Rodeo" on Friday and Saturday. The Poly Royal is billed as the "Best Rodeo in the West" and is conducted at the Cotton Rosser Rodeo Complex on the campus of Cal Poly.
The Falcons continue to be ranked highly in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) West Coast Region standings. After five rodeo competitions completed this season, the West Hills women currently sit in second place in the region with 1079 total points and the men are in third place with 1959 points.
A number of West Hills individual rodeo student athletes are vying for regional titles as well as the ability to move on the compete at nationals (listed below with current region place):
