The West Hills Falcons, down by one point at the half 39-38, had a strong showing in the second half and pulled away from the Renegades of Bakersfield College to secure the victory. The win gives West Hills a 2-4 record in the young season, Bakersfield fell to 3-2.

WHCC was lead by Jabari Merritt who tallied 18 points on 8-11 from the field and added 12 rebounds; Tyrell Edwards added 12 points and three assists; Khyree Reese had 12 points and four rebounds and Julio Sanchez had 11 points to go with five assists.

Next up, the Falcons take on the Gavilan College Rams at home on Saturday with tip-off at 3:00pm.
