Falcons close out season with loss to Columbia

A difficult 2019-20 West Hills College Coalinga men's basketball season finally came to end following the Falcons' 99-58 loss to visiting No. 15 state-ranked Columbia College on Saturday night.

Columbia, playing to secure its second-place finish in the Central Valley Conference standings, poured it on in the first half by taking a 48-27 lead into the break. West Hills was outscored 51-31 in the second.

Sophomore Shakir Doss played in his final game as a Falcon and scored 6 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and blocked a pair of shots.

Travon Perry led West Hills with 15 points. Fredery Cuello put together another good all-around game, posting 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Tyrell Edwards scored 11 points and BenQuon Elder had 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

West Hills went 0-28 overall this season and were 0-14 in Central Valley Conference play.
