Freshman Fredery Cuello scored a team-high 19 points in a 73-57 West Hills College Coalinga loss to visiting Cuesta College on Saturday. The Falcons are off to a rough start this season, opening the year with an 0-5 overall record.
West Hills was down by nine points at halftime (36-27) and couldn't dig itself out of the hole.
The Falcons made just 21 of 55 shots in the contest, but sank 6 three-pointers. Cuello was 4 for 9 from three-point range on his way to his 19 points. He added 2 rebounds and a steal.
Trevin Levy added 12 points, Tyrell Edwards chipped in with 10 points, while Shakir Doss totaled 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. BenQuon Elder also hada good game with 2 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The Falcons return to the court in search of their first win on Thursday (Nov. 21) when they travel to Skyline College in San Bruno for a 5 p.m. non-conference game.
