West Hills College Coalinga was held to season-lows of 199 yards and three points in a 27-3 loss at Sacramento City College on Saturday in both teams' Valley League opener.

West Hills fell to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

The Falcons had a tough time sustaining their drives on offense. West Hills was 0-for-10 on third-down conversion attempts and was forced to punt on six of those drives.

Sacramento City led 14-0 at halftime and was up 21-0 before the Falcons finally got on the scoreboard at the 5:23 mark in the third quarter. Cannon Eames nailed a 39-yard field goal to cap a nine-play, 55-yard drive.

William Weinmann completed 10-of-21 passes for 88 yards while Dwan James led West Hills on the ground with 14 rushes for 70 yards.

Cannon Eames caught four passes for 62 yards while Jonathan Murphy had six receptions for 51 yards.

On defense, Maximus Gaona, Taleeke Davie, James Carter, and Chavez Jenkins were credited with six total tackles. Elijah Thomas totaled five tackles and had the Falcons' lone sack in the contest.

West Hills returns home for its next game on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. when the Falcons host Modesto Junior College at Memorial Stadium.
