This was followed by a RBI single to right from Jake Lorenzini, putting West Hills College ahead 2-0. That score held until the 3rd, when the Falcons took advandtage of some defensive miscues. After Uribe and Lorenzini reached via errors, Brandon Barker came up and hit a two out triple to right, plating both runners. Then Matt Siedem hit a routine fly ball to second base, but it was misplayed by Xavier Salas, allowing Barker to score and putting the Falcons ahead 5-0.

Scotty Ingle came up and smashed a ball into the hole at shortstop, but SS Pedro Aguirre made an outstanding backhanded dive to prevent the ball from going into left field. In attempt to get Flores out at 2nd, Aguirre threw the ball into right field, allowing everyone to be safe and Siedem to score from 2nd. With runners on 1st and 3rd now, Mckay Glines hit a sacrifice fly to left which was dropped by the left fielder, pushing the score to 8-1. Jacob Evangelo got his 1st win of the season as he pitched 7 strong innings, striking out 5 batters and walking none.
