WHCC announces February Student-Athletes of the Month

West Hills College Coalinga has named Devree Godinez from softball, Aviram Ramirez of baseball, Teagan Bredek from rodeo, and Devion Edwards from men's basketball as its Student-Athletes of the Month for February.

Softball
#11 Devree Godinez, Infield
A starting sophomore shortstop Devree not only showcases remarkable leadership with on the field successes she excels in her academic endeavors.  Dev's commitment to excellence sets a commendable standard for her peers.

Baseball
#5 Aviram Ramirez, Utility
Aviram has been hot going into conference.  He hit .341 for the month with two stolen bases, three doubles and a triple.  He also demonstrates versatility by racking up innings on the mound.

Rodeo
Teagan Bredek
Teagan, a 2022 graduate of Oakmont High School in Roseville, has been an exceptional member of the Falcon team.  Earning a 3.3 G.P.A. during her attendance at West Hills, she assists with the production of college hosted high school rodeos and is consistently there for her team.  She is determined and hardworking going above and beyond always looking to improve.  Teagan also shows patience on helping her horse to improve with issues it had been having in the arena.

Men's Basketball
#14 Devion Edwards, Forward
Devion continued his sophomore season as a stellar player throughout the month of February by posting multiple double doubles all while getting doubled teamed.  Devion continues to improve academically and is on track to receive his AA degree in Social & Behavioral Science as well as an AS in Health Science this spring.
