Alves, Latimer, Ojeda named Student-Athletes of the Month

West Hills College Coalinga is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Month for March: Pfeiffer Alves from Rodeo, Kaleb Latimer of Baseball, and Denae Ojeda from Softball!

Rodeo - Pfeiffer Alves
Alves placed first at the Cuesta College rodeo in the barrel racing event, earning 145 points for the West Hills women's team. She is now in position to make it to the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.

Baseball- Kaleb Latimer
Latimer totaled 20 hits over 37 at bats during the month for an impressive .540 batting average in March. He added 5 doubles, 1 triple, 5 stolen bases, and 9 RBI. He was perfect in the Falcons' 16-8 win on March 11th vs. College of the Sequoias, going 4 for 4 with 2 walks, a stolen base and 4 RBI.

Softball- Denae Ojeda
Ojeda is setting new records for the Falcons as she just surpassed the West Hills single-season stolen base record as well as the single-season runs record. Denae is the core of the outfield and has had a tremendous month. Her speed and athleticism have been a huge addition to our program.
