Coalinga College would like to congratulate its Student-Athlete of the Week, Ayana Lopez from the softball team and Chris Amaya of baseball!

#21 Ayana Lopez—Freshman infielder, Centennial High School (Bakersfield), Psychology major
Ayana concluded a great week at bat, going 4 for 6 with 1 walk, 1 double, and a stolen base.  She is also an excellent student, carrying a 3.21 GPA in the fall semester.

#14 Chris Amaya—Freshman utility, Lemoore High School, Kinesiology major
Chris had a big game last week against Merced, going 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 stolen bases.

“Chris has made his way into the lineup and has proven to be a much-needed spark plug,” said Coalinga head coach Mike Cordero.
