West Hills College Coalinga would like to congratulate its Student-Athletes of the Week: Deandre Johnson from men’s basketball, Kyle Day from baseball, Alyssa Maldonado of softball, and Michael Frost from the rodeo team!

#21 Deandre Johnson, Men's Basketball, Guard
Earning student athlete of the week for the second time, Deandre is a 2023 graduate of Lemoore High School, who continues to lead on and off the court. He has made great strides as a shooter with 42% from 3 in conference play as well as earning a 3.75 G.P.A. last fall.

#33 Kyle Day, Baseball, Pitcher
A freshman right-handed pitcher, Kyle is a 2023 Hesperia Christian High School graduate from Southern California. He went 5 innings against Monterey Peninsula only giving up two hits, one walk striking out 9 Lobos.

#14 Alyssa Maldonado, Softball, Middle Infield
A 2022 graduate from Hanford High School, has earned a spot on the Dean’s list each semester in attendance as a Falcon and carries a 3.34 cumulative G.P.A. Maldo finished off last week with huge offensive contributions completing with 8-13, 3 RBI’s, 4 doubles and 1 stolen base.

Michael Frost, Rodeo
Michael is a dependable and hardworking student athlete from Fillmore High School who earned a 3.3 GPA last fall. He puts in the time & effort improving his roping ability at each practice and isn’t afraid of extra work. Michael’s ability to get over the hard days quickly will help him in his rodeo career and allows him to keep a level head.
