The West Hills Volleyball Team begins conference play Wednesday night at Taft College after wrapping up preseason play at 3-3. The Falcons split the opening tournament at Monterey Peninsula College, defeating Los Medanos then falling to host Monterey. The Falcons returned home to host Los Medanos and Ohlone College in the annual tri-team tournament. The matinee match featured a hard fought match with Ohlone College in which the Falcons were edged 17-15 in the fifth. On Friday afternoon, the Falcons co-hosted the inaugural CVC-IEAC Challenege featuring teams from the Inland Empire Athletic Conference. The Falcons opened up with a win against Victor Valley College in three striaght sets, but fell short against a relentless Cerro Coso squad.
