Falcons have six earn All-Central Valley Conference honors

2021 All-CVC Women's Volleyball


Following the close of the 2021 women's volleyball regular season, West Hills College Coalinga had six members of its squad earn All-Central Valley Conference postseason honors.

Heading the list for the Falcons was first-team All-CVC selection Arelis Chavez-Hernandez. The freshman opposite hitter out of Madera South High School started all 24 matches this season for West Hills and led the squad with 162 kills on 388 attempts.

Second-team All-CVC picks were freshman outside hitter Sariya Harris (Hoover HS) and freshman setter Jada Douangmala (Hoover HS). Harris totaled 123 kills on 329 attempts with 88 digs and 17 aces. Douangmala the Falcons with 375 assists and added 53 digs with 19 aces.

Named honorable mention were freshman outside hitter Sanaii Cooper (Reno, NV/McQueen HS), freshman middle blocker Isabella Stevens (Lemoore HS), and sophomore outside hitter Tatyana Mendoza (South HS).

West Hills wrapped up the season with a 10-14 overall record and went 7-9 in the Central Valley Conference to finish tied for fifth place at 7-9.
