Aw goes for 30 points in Falcons' loss at Reedley

REEDLEY – Ahmadou Aw scored a season-high 30 points but West Hills College Coalinga couldn't hold a first-half lead and suffered a 78-70 Central Valley Conference loss at Reedley College on Saturday.

A rough stretch of the season continues for the Falcons. They have lost 7 straight and dropped to 7-14 overall. WHCC is 1-7 in CVC play with 6 games remaining.

West Hills took a 46-37 lead into halftime. But the Falcons were outscored 41-24 over the final 20 minutes, resulting in the loss.

Aw shot 12 for 20 from the field on his way to his 30-point outburst. He nearly had a double-double with 9 rebounds.

Noah Richmond contributed 9 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals while Deandre Johnson also scored 9 points.

The Falcons will look to snap the skid on Wednesday (Feb. 7) when they travel to Columbia College for a 6 p.m. Central Valley Conference game.
