Tim Culver comes back to West Hills from his alma mater, Fresno Pacific University, where he served as the FPU Sunbirds assistant baseball coach last season. Tim played on Fresno Pacific University's inaugural baseball team, for Head Coach Oscar Hirschkorn from 2005 - 2007.

Prior to FPU, his playing career began at Lancaster High School, and took him to Pasadena City College, Mississippi Valley State University, Moorpark College, and finally Fresno Pacific University. His college baseball career ended in 2007 where he went on to coach the Southern Ohio University Copperheads in the 2008/2009 summer league.

In 2010 he joined the Army National Guard, where he served for six years. Upon completion of his service, Coach Culver went on to receive his Master's Degree from the University of Phoenix.

Prior to starting at West Hills, he was the Head Coach for the Fresno A's Collegiate Summer Team which he lead to the 2017 NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas. In 2018 he accepted the assistant coaching position at West Hills. In addition to coaching at West Hills, he served as an adjunct instructor, teaching several business courses. During Coach Culver's time as West Hills' Assistant Baseball Coach, his support and focus on academics led the team to earn ABCA Tram Academic Excellence Award in 2019-2020. The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award is awarded to teams who have a grade point average over 3.0. West Hills College was one of only five community colleges to earn the award that year.

When asked how he felt about being back at West Hills, he said he is "happy to be here. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here as the assistant coach, and a head coaching position isn't one you can easily pass up."

Associate Dean of Athletics, Joe Hash, said he is "excited to have Coach Culver at West Hills. Tim comes to us with history at West Hills as a former instructor and assistant coach. He was also a classified employee. He has a great West Hills resume as well as great baseball resume. The program has really taken off since he's taken over and he's not missed a beat since he got here; if anything he's quickened the pace of improving our baseball program."
