Coalinga College has named Chris Amaya from baseball and Lexi Espinoza from the softball team its Student-Athletes of the Month for March.

#14 Chris Amaya—Sophomore Outfielder from Lemoore High School

Chris Amaya led the way for the Falcons this month and set the tone at the plate with a soaring batting average of .444 (9 for 19). He also had 5 stolen bases, 3 RBIs, scored 5 runs, and drew 3 walks.

#11 Lexi Espinoza—Freshman Pitcher from Elenor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, CA

Freshman pitcher Alexis Espinoza has been a tremendous asset to the program this season. Whether starting or coming in for relief, she has consistently stepped up and logged valuable innings in the circle.

Lexi's dedication to her team and commitment to the program have not gone unnoticed. Her character and work ethic speak volumes about the kind of student-athlete she is. Off the field, she continues to excel academically, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA through the spring semester.
