Coalinga College announces April Student-Athletes of the Month

Coalinga College has named Josilynn Alvarez from softball, Champ Tenorio of baseball, and Brayden Liberio from the rodeo team as its Student-Athletes of the Month for April.

Josilynn Alvarez, Sophomore, Utility, Bakersfield, CA (Bakersfield HS)
"Josilynn's consistent dedication throughout the year is yielding significant results. Her recent outstanding performance over the past month reflects her deep commitment to the game. As she prepares to graduate this spring, Josilynn plans to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue both academic and athletic endeavors." – Coach Gaby Brixey

Champ Tenorio, Freshman, Outfielder, Las Vegas, NV (Sierra Vista HS)
"Champ has been an outstanding citizen and teammate not only this month, but the entire year. Champ has excelled in the classroom and as a leader on campus as a Residence Assistant. Champ has shown his maturity while battling injury and demonstrating a positive attitude for his team. He has been the rock of our team the last two years." – Coach Mike Cordero

Brayden Liberio, Sophomore, Caliente, CA (Kern Valley HS)
"Brayden is a dedicated teammate and is consistently there whenever needed. Brayden is active in school functions and is the first to volunteer for any event. He is leading the West Coast region in bull riding and has won three out of the last 4four rodeos." – Coach Justin Strickland
