Coalinga College would like to congratulate its Student-Athletes of the Week, Aryam Munoz from women’s volleyball, Melany Ramirez of the rodeo team, Myles Rush from football, and Corey Taylor of men’s basketball!

#6 Aryam Munoz—Sophomore Libero from Washington Union High School in Fresno
Aryam helped lead the Falcons to a pair of wins last week, as she racked up an incredible 54 digs and 6 aces against Merced and Lemoore.

Melany Ramirez—Sophomore from Tijuana, Mexico
Melany been excelling in her classes as well as making terrific progress in her rodeo events.  Learning a new event (break away roping) is always difficult however, Melany has taken on the challenge and is making broad steps forward.  She is an excellent team member and is always happy to help during practices.

#6 Myles Rush—Sophomore Linebacker from Glendale High School in Arizona
Myles recorded 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss and 1 pass breakup in our 45-25 win over the Los Medanos Mustangs on Saturday. Myles is holding a steady 3.6 GPA as a Falcon and will graduate in May of 2025 with his AA.

#0 Corey Taylor—Freshman Guard from North Crowley High School in Texas
Corey averaged 16 points and 6 rebounds against the Cuesta Cougars and the Gavilan Rams. He is a great person on and off the court and will be a large part of our Falcon team as the season progresses.
