Coalinga College would like to congratulate its Student-Athletes of the Week, Rudy Amaya from the baseball team, and Alex McDanell of softball!

#19 Rudy Amaya – Freshman Pitcher from Lemoore High School in Lemoore
Rudy took the ball and established his dominance from the very first pitch, facing 20 batters and retiring 18 of them. He gave the Falcons 5.2 innings of shutout baseball only allowing 2 hits and adding a pair of strikeouts which allowed the Falcons to take the win against a very good Reedley College Tigers baseball team. 

#8 Alex McDanell – Freshman Outfielder from Liberty High School in Bakersfield
Alex capped off the weekend batting an impressive .400, tallying 1 run, 1 RBI, 1 walk, 1 double, and 2 stolen bases. Her performance was highlighted by breaking the program's single season doubles record with her 14th double of the year! Alex continues to make a major impact at the plate and on the bases.
