#26 Jaydian Chavira—Freshman Pitcher from Madera High School
Jaydian Chavira earns Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the second straight week! The Madera High School freshman delivered a stellar 6.1 innings of relief on February 12th against Hartnell, allowing just two runs with zero walks. His strong performance kept his team in the game, proving his reliability on the mound.
#12 Daniel Rodriguez—Freshman Guard from RF Kennedy High School in Delano
Daniel has been making impressive strides on the basketball court, showing dedication, hustle, and a true passion for the game. His hard work and determination have not gone unnoticed, as he continues to improve and contribute to his team's success.
Off the court, Daniel is just as impressive. He sets an example in the classroom with his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to academic excellence. His ability to balance athletics and academics makes him a true role model for his peers.
#7 Jenessa Sanchez—Freshman Pitcher from Justin Garza High School in Fresno
Freshman pitcher Jenessa Sanchez has been dominant in the circle and just as impressive in the classroom. Majoring in Health Science with a 3.41 GPA, Sanchez showcased her talent this past week, throwing 10 scoreless innings while earning two wins. She allowed just five hits, issued only two walks, and struck out 14 batters with a perfect 0.00 ERA. Her performance played a key role in Coalinga College’s back-to-back shutout victories.
