Following the close of the 2021-22 regular season, three West Hills College Coalinga men's basketball team members earned All-Central Valley Conference postseason awards.
Heading the list is first-team All-Central Valley Conference selection Jabari Merritt. The sophomore forward out of Philadelphia, Pa. had an amazing season for the Falcons. He was one of just two players in the CVC to average a double-double for the season as he put up 18.1 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
Merritt's finest game came in a win over Reedley College as he totaled season-highs of 32 points and 19 rebounds.
Fredery Cuello was named All-CVC honorable mention. The sophomore guard from Harlem, N.Y. closed out his second season at West Hills averaging 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.
He scored a season-high 31 points in a Falcons' win at Modesto.
Rounding out the standout trio is sophomore guard Tyrell Edwards as he was named to the conference's All-Defensive Team. The Houston, Texas native averaged 13.7 points and 4.0 rebounds this season. He also totaled 21 steals and 6 blocks.
West Hills went 9-19 overall this season and finished seventh in the final CVC standings at 4-10.
